How Rare is your Ride(Production models)?

I think it's probably impossible to know for sure but if you could use some logical inferences try to guess how rare your car is.

For this exercise the only rules are that the car is a production model and the criteria used for calculation is original (as delivered).

I'll start:

1969 911T ROW Sportomatic: Total production = 297
Sunroof Coupe (<5%): 297*0.05 = 14
Special Paint (6831) (<1%)???: 14*0.01 = <1 so basically One of a Kind!
Other rare options:
single sport seat
wood steering wheel

You won! Love that color.

I have a 71E sporto coupe in tangerine. I have no idea how many were built. 260 71E sporto coupe and targas, so maybe half coupe and half targas? Not sure how many non-sunroof, and not sure how many in tangerine with AC. I am guessing a one in ten car.

I am the only owner of each of my cars, so by definition, they are one of a kind.

Oh, if Porsche would only open their DB to the world.

OK, I'll play. Here's my '75 911s targa. Original color was a metallic brown, but someone, sometime, repainted it Grand Prix white. It has what I've been told is a rare one-piece targa top, which I really like as I've read way too much here about trials and tribulations with the folding top. Regardless, the one-piece top was a '75 only option. It's been "backdated" (LOL!) with a 2.2 engine w/ weber carbs. Definitely a funky car, but a ton of fun to drive.

Looking forward to seeing more from other Pelicans!

'88 Commemorative Edition:

875 CE cars were made in summer 1987 (MY.88)-
300 went to the US- all diamond blue (worldwide)

I've seen a few of these totalled and parted over the last few years so I would think there's definitly under 300 of all forms (cpe, targa, cab) in the States. Not as valuable or rare than early S cars but "low" production #'s compared to run of the mill 3.2's.

since this thread seems to cover 75 targas, here mine, not so special except as toms has the rare solid targa top, someone told me that only the first 47 cars had this, mine is #16, i love it, its like riding in a coupe. tom, what is your consecutive unit #?

69 911S
Targa
Velvet Green
Linen interior
Hydro-pneumatics

It's possible that the paint (a VW color) and interior make it the only early 911 with this combo in the world, the hydro's definitely.

Almost had to sell it recently. glad that that passed. 2013 is coming fast.

Well which ride? The alpine white '87 944 turbo very common. The '93 BMW M5 in Alpine White less than 100. The '72 911T which was yellow but now Maritime Blue and engine free, who knows. The 2003 Ruf 3600S in True Blasberry, the only chromalusion car Ruf has ever painted.

Lovely cars! Mine is a standard ROW off the shelves Carrera, so I suppose I am in the vicinity of 1 out of 85000..

Ok I'll play. 1982 ROW 3.0l SC Targa "Ferry Special". Information varies but only 266 built with from what information I can find only 20 Targas. Pretty darn special at least to me....

A total of 29 Club Sports were imported into the US in '88/'89. My '88 is one of 22 imported in '88. It is the only red CS in the US and maybe in the world. The '88 CS's left the factory with a sperete set of serial numbers ending from 061 - 082

Actually saw a red CS today!

Have to say I am not 100% that it was an -88, but pretty sure (remember thinking it had a G50). It was at a local car show here in southern Sweden and the "car" is a member of PCS (Porsche Club Sweden).
