wevo shifter and coupler install for a 915

Are there any parts (bushings, etc.) needed for this install? There is some (what I guess I would call typical) play plus some shifter / bushing "groan" noises when I shift. I was thinking of going with the wevo 915 shift and coupler kit. Would it be about an hour to install both for a good Porsche shop and what else is needed?

Anyone got this setup for sale (used or new)? I have parts to trade, including 27mm rear torsion bars, aftermarket fiberglass Carrera wing with rubber trim, euro 85 front and rear bumpers with extensions and bellows (all other related bumper parts sold), plus some / most 77S and 83 SC gauges.

TIA,

Scott

Buy the Wevo bits and install them yourself. Except for getting the coupler orientation back to "perfect" it is really a simple task.

I just have a car port at my condo and really do not have a place to work on my 911. Want a house / garage!

That sucks. Maybe a fellow Seattle Pelican will offer up a hand and a garage.

If you were in MI, I would offer the same.

Anyone know a good existing thread on this, I bought the Wevo coupler and even my mechanic said do it yourself, but are the bushings as easy?

Any threads with photos and step by step, no garage either but it does not look like a job that requires a garage.

The job is really easy and doesn't require a garage. I did it the shifter and coupler in my driveway. It just requires a place where you can disassemble the old shifter and put the new WEVO bits into it. The WEVO instructions are more than enough to install the shifter, the coupler is pretty self-explanatory and the bushings are easy.

They are both pretty straight forward, I put them in this spring.
Love the shifter.
Now it might be easier to have one of the seats out just so you have more room to work around.

I installed the Wevo Shifter and coupler in about 2 hours in my garage. Spent another hour or so aligning the coupler. It should be no big deal to install in your carport..

Scott,

You're getting good advice; the Wevo shifter makes a huge improvement and its a 3-4 hour project for you.

I'll be at JW's Swap Meet next Saturday if you want me to bring one for you.
