Single battery and doesn't look like the battery boxes have been removed = later model car or front clip? Did any of the early cars have single battery?

All 911 from 1964-1968 had a single battery.

OK, i got the car out today and the Vin # is 301274.... I think that early 1965.
Lot's of good parts... so I will probably take it to the next Pomona swap meet.
I have a set of15x9 and 15x11's factory rsr wheels I will take also.

301274 is about May 1965 production.
