alternator nut
hello all i am having a issue finding a alternator/pulley nut for my 77 911s 2.7cis. does anybody know what size nut goes on here. the book says 16x1 but i am wondering if the replacment alternator uses the same size or if it is 17.1.5im not sure if it is a newer alternator. i know i should just go and get a caliper and measure but any help is nice thanks.

If your alternator has ever been replaced it's possible it's a 17x1.50. Otherwise, then yes it probably is a 16x1.00, which is a P.I.T.A. to find. Call our host, though.
