1986 Tach Wiring Pin Out

I posted earlier with a problem getting my Tach to work after a 2.7 to 3.0 upgrade in my 1975 S. The original thread is here:

3.0 Upgrade from 2.7 Tach Issues

My question is; I currently have four tachometers (one from a 1975 911S, one from a 1983 SC, and two from a 1986 Carrera) does anyone know how to wire up the 1986 tach into the 1983 SC motor setup?

I have the +12 wire, the Ground, and Can get a Tach drive signal from the Coil

Can you drive the tach directly from the coil? Does it put out too much milliamperage? will the coil burn out the electronics of the tachs?

Thanks
