Favorite greases
The grease issue came up when I was looking for a high quality grease to lube my polybronze bearings. This is one of those areas that seems rather simple , but once you start to do a little research you find it is not so simple after all. I am probably over thinking it.
Ever heard of green grease? Please list your favorites for chassis and bearings. Thanks Scott 73.5 911 74 914 2.0

The toughest-duty stuff is the high pressure moly stuff. Used on CV joints. That is what I lubed my polybronze bushings with, and that is what I suggest.
Other, lesser moly grease is available in a can and is cheaper. Still very good grease. White lithium grease is decent, but not for high pressure applications. This is the common grease used to grease all sorts of parts that see friction, but not much friction. It is largely not water-soluble, so it stays in place longer than others. But the real stuff to use in non-high-pressure applications that will never see grease again (window cranks, door locks, blah blah.........is that sticky, waxy, stringy amber-colored stuff.

Superb product (nothing better!) but VERY expensive and VERY toxic to handle. Special gloves and cleaning solvents are required to safely use that stuff.
Another excellent option is Neo,......... ![]() We use both, depending on the application.

I am thinking just a good lithium complex, moly and graphite fortified grease with good specs. LB GC grade. This should be fine.
Thanks for all the replies. Nineball: I hope for the sake of humanity that you had to search to find that picture. There may be an issue if that was your desktop.
