Dead Battery?

My car has been running great...had it on a battery tender during the winter but not since March, probably. Did a 500 mile weekend run last weekend and this past Wednesday it wouldn't start, just the classic weak battery attempt to turn over. So I put it on the tender for about 36 hours and it never came out of charging mode, yet it fired up yesterday and I made a couple of stops without problems. Tonight...dead! Dome light works, dash lights come on, clock is correct, but not enough juice to even get a crank.

Seems I've heard the pcar sucks up a lot of juice in order to start...and I don't know how old the battery is...diagnosis?

Thanks,
Jack

If you have good juice to your headlights, dome lights etc., then you probably do not have a charging issue...probably more like a fuse, ground, or connection to your ignition switch or starter motor.

The battery in my 928 went this spring, after making it through the winter it just suddenly would not hold a charge. I thought I had some kind of low voltage drain on it, but in fact all I needed was a battery. I never had a battery go out overnight before, but it was just done, and will not hold a charge.
