Well, it's definitely a real long hood. Not a '72. Might be an S due to oil cooler.
Get the VIN and we'll tell you for sure. |

Wrong gas tank. Wind wings tip out? I'm leaning towards a SWB car.

it's a SWB car, mirror is mounted in the roof.
definitely a run Forrest run car unless you can get it for free and part out the front struts, calipers, brass cooler and lines...

66 or 67 with plastic dash knobs & chrome vent window latch. That all changed in 68.

Do you know the VIN? It is possible that it's an S and therefore may be worth saving for the right person (that may be you). You can check here: http://www.356a.com/ It says 356, but reads and returns 911 VINs as well. Keep us posted!

Short Wheel Base. That would be any model up to and including '68. The tip out wind wings and the placement of the t-bar holes got me thinking SWB. Good call on the mirror. I didn' know that. On the plastic knobs, you must have a much higher res screen than I.

No S. The wood dash puts it a 65 or 66.

I'm thinking those flares will be worth some money, as they appear to be RSR, not turbo, flares.
I wouldn't try to restore the car but it's worth a fair bit if you part it out. What part of the country is it located in? JR |

Less brakes, more gas!

It is very hard to tell the condition of the tub. Get it out and then tip it upside down to get all the crap out of it
Then you will know if its is worth cutting it or keeping it. The fenders are very unusual for sure...-Michael

Well, if it was closer, I'd offer to give you a hand, but it's a wee bit too far away. I still think it's worth saving, if only to supply parts to others. You'd make money, easily, and if the shell is early enough, you might find a buyer for that as well.
If you were to get the serial number, we could identify exactly what it was originally. JR |

SWB for sure
4 Screw horn grills, 65, should be a 300xxx or 301xxx number.

I agree, and it looks like fixed shocks which also puts it under about 302xxx.

When Porsche first started building the 911, they thought they could manufacture the bodies accurately enough that they would not need to have adjustable front struts. If you look at the top of the struts, you'll see that they do not have the usual mounts.
