Help on choosing new video camera for track events
My old Sony Hi-8 camcorder dinosaur isn't working up to par anymore. I'm looking for suggestions for a new(or used) and inexpensive camcorder for in the car recording.

I have a basic Sony DCR-SX41. Light weight, digital with 4 GB internal memory and an 8 GB memory card. Bought it as an open box item at Best Buy for under $150. Works very well on my I/I Port camera mount on the cross tube of my cage. Several others I know are using the Aiptek ultra cheap digital camcorder and the video/audi quality is pretty darn good for a $100 camcorder.

+1 for the GoPro. Sound is not that great but the video quality is surprisingly good. I prefer the wide angle lens.
These can be had for around $160 new on ebay.
