My hood won't close... suggestions please

Hi, the title says it all. I have a 76 911 that is backdated with a new fiberglass RS hood. Yesterday I opened the hood to put a bag in and everything seemed fine, then as I drop the hood down, it just wont close. The cable seems to be working and I'm running out of ideas.

help is much appreciated.

sammy

Is the lock stuck in the "open" position?

Have your tried lubrication with white grease?

Good luck,

Gerry

No I havent tried lubrication, I will try that now. I am pretty sure the the lock isn't stuck in the open position. Do any of you think pictures could help dissect the problem?

If the sliding mechanism is well lubricated, not stuck in the open position,
and the cable is working, that leaves only one option.

Adjustment as per BLEW911.

Good luck,

Gerry

+1 on the allen wrench adjustment of the part attached to the car. 2 gold nuts under the popoff covers. When I add and remove my bra, I adjust it looser or tighter.
