Help me identify what I think is a porsche color

Hello folks,

I've been on a mad search for a LONG time to find out what color of paint this is. First off, I know it's not a porsche, but I come to you guys for help. I'm trying to rebuild a truck that my best friend owned when I was growing up. The truck is no longer existent, except as recycled scrap metal somewhere out there. It was completely totaled in 1999.

The truck was repainted after some body work was done, but the body shop that did the paint has not been able to locate the paint code since it was so long ago. My friend thinks they called it shamrock green, however, the shamrock green samples I have been able to come across are much darker.

So, I've narrowed it down to either Signal Green, Viper Green, or Conda Green, with some of the closest matching pics being Conda green, but in some pics of Viper green that I've seen, it looks similar. Same with Signal Green. I'm trying to go based on just 1 photo I have of the truck, and from memory.

Here is the picture. Please help.

At this point, I REALLY wish I had more pictures, or a piece of the truck left so I can just get the dang thing scanned.

Looks closer to the old "forest service green"...the green the US Forest service used to have their trucks painted.

Found a pic for you...couldn't save & post...so try this link: It leads to pics of various USFS vehicles, so you can see the color in various lighting scenarios. I'm not kidding...looks like "forest service green" to me.

I found something similar after you mentioned that.

That is the one drawback of using that picture, as it's a scanned image of an actual 4x6 glossy picture. The color isn't quite right, but close. That forrest service color is a bit too, umm, bluish grey, i guess is the best way to put it. That's the problem I've been having, is everything I can find is either too limey, too dark, too blue, nothing quite matches, until I've found these porsche colors on this forum. Even then, my eyes deceive me and I cant frickin tell. This has been a really long and frustrating road. I mean, how does a body shop lose a paint code? They said, " It looks like that was one of the few that just slipped past our books". COME ON MAN.

Well, in P car colors, it's closer to "leaf green" than to "Conda Green" or "Viper Green". Good luck in your hunt, but I don't recall seeing the same on a Porsche...

The closest Porsche color to that is definitely leaf green. Conda and Viper have more yellow and a lot less white, leaf is more of a pastel tone like that truck.

It's definitely not any of the three colors you mentioned in your post. Not even close.

My sugestion would be to go to a paint shop that has a Glasurit system and look through their color chips that they use for paint matching.
