Speed Sensor Wiring Question

I'm looking to find the speed sensor feed for my new GPS; question:
I have read several times that the speed sensor is in the tranny; where do these wires go? To the back of the Speedo? 31A or 31b?

Wiring my radio to the speedo would be much quicker/easier than wiring to the trans...

Thanks everyone!

Which GPS system did you get? Will it not display your speed (reasonably accurate) ?Probably not just exactly the goal, however.

Can't help on the '79, but others will chime soon.

Best,

Doyle
