new dash install question for 85
 

I just received my newly leather covered dash for installation tomorrow. The front windshield is coming out. My concern is the new dash does not have any screw holes for the small screws that are supposed to be under the front by the windshield. Waynes book only says that the glass is pushed tight against the glass but many have done write-ups here noting the screws that must be removed?? I thought that is why on the pre 86 cars you had to remove the glass in the first place??? Has anyone else seen this variation? Could the holes be covered by the leather? thanks Doug
