OLD - Gotti 16's- Are they Strong?

Would these Gottis be strong wheels after I replaced the fasteners? You will notice that they have fewer fasteners than the "newer" Gottis. I know that I do not know the history of the wheel...but I have been looking for some time for 8/9 16's in early offset. They would be for track/street.

Not to be an alarmist... but just recently my mechanic was telling me about a guy he knows that replaced the Fuchs he had with some aftermarket-type wheel. He was driving along and swerved to avoid a deer. The right front wheel dipped off the road surface which was elevated a bit form the shoulder. He over compensated to get it back on the road and when he did the right front wheel broke off sending the car flipping into a total loss. The lug bolts were still in the hub when the car stopped flipping. Wheel broke clean off form the center.
True story.
Be careful.

I have become tired of looking for 16 inch wheels that are 8 and 9's. So, it does not matter. I will now turn my search to 17's. Thanks for your reply, as I do not think that they would be all that strong, even after new fasteners. At least they do not look like they would. Also, wheels have an unknown history.
