Programmable speedo-any interest?

Hey all,
We have done quite a few of these lateley and was wondering if there is any real interest. If we built a bigger batch of them, the price could come down considerably making them a little more commerical.

We basically take a new set of VDO programmable speedometer internals and install them into the old speedometer can by welding a bew back onto the can.

It works with stock, aftermarket hall effect or magnetic pickups, so it is pretty universal. Hit the button, drive a mile, hit it again, then its calibrated perfectly. Another nice feature is it actually has a glass lens.

Can you make one in kilometres, with a backlit gage face and needle?

A matching set with Tacho and other instruments would be perfect.

Yes, we can get metric speedos. The pic below shows a backlit 914 set with the stock pointers and LED lighting. If you want to change the pointers to backlit, we can do that as well, but the pointers are a different style

I might be interested if it could use my stock '77 speedo face. It'd be nice to have as I alternate back and forth between 23.5" tall tires and 25" tall tires. Of course price is a factor!

what price range are we looking at? I like the 180 dial. I have wanted one for a while. Not that my car is that fast, it's just cool.

Right now to do a one-off is around $265.00. $90.00 of that is getting the dial screened. I was thinking if we could do batches of 10 or 15, then all of the stuff comes down, the guts, the CNC back plate, etc, maybe we could get the price in the $150 ish range.
