speedo stops when dash lights on...
 

OK, the speedometer in my 1988 930 stops working when the dash lights come on; really. The needle drops to "0" as soon as the guage lights up. Anyone have any ideas??

Sounds like a weak common ground connection somewhere behind the intruments

I got your pm, I have a similar problem...works without lights on but doesnt give accurate reading.

what are the voltage ranges for the signal wires? it would be easy to test if I am getting a signal.
