Fuel

Hi:

What is the best brand fuel to run in a '87 911? I just purchased and the previous owner ran Chevron premium, but there are no Chevron stations on the East Coast - any suggestions?

Just purchase the highest octane fuel you can find. I try to buy 94 whenever possible but my car will run on cheap 87 just fine.

About the only store I don't buy from is Walmart but that's because I can't stand going there anyway. Too many idiots for me to deal with.

Do you know if the chip is stock? If it has a performance chip, you'll likely need to run premium all the time. If it is stock and you are just using for occasional street use, you can run normal regular fuel.

All gas is the same. There is no "best" brand. All is sitting, co-mingled, in the same tanks at the port. Buy the highest octane available at the cheapest price available and you'll be fine.

this is true. the only diff is Chevron add techron as they fill the tanker trucks Shell adds their V power Mobil adds what ever they add and places like Costco, Sheetz & Circle K do not add anything and it is just raw unleaded fuel.
