My transmission... what is it?

Hey all!

Had a fellow Pelican visit today and help figure out my project. He said to post the numbers off the bottom of my transmission when I got it apart, and I would find out what it is, and if its any good...

So, here is what I have:

911 0 7101747

There may be another "1" after the first 0, but it looks like someone hit a rock or something, so couldn't be sure.

Thanks!!!

probably should look like this..
911/01 Then the next couple numbers should tell you 4 speed/5speed, T, E, or S
should be a 70/71 901 trans with the designation 911 for the bigger flywheel and the cable attachment to the case for the clutch. last 4 would be sequence for the previous numbers.

the number would be 911/01 7101747, this is a 1970 type 911 transmission, and I think the T's E's and S's all had the same gearing? The tech book doesn't designate between them just the model years they were used in, 1970 and '71. Hope this helps a little.

901/13 gear question

Here's an old thread with what you need to know. Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help.
