Coathanger rod FYI

It's official:
the "caothanger" throttle linkage rod that goes from the bellcrank on the 915 trans, to the throttlebody is...

Different for the CIS (73-83) from the DME (84-86) !!!!!
(G-50 is a WHOLE different animal..)

They look the same BUT...the DME version is @ 1/2" longer, & believe me....that additional length is vital to getting the 3.2 drivable in your 3.2 conversion. SO don't think you can reuse the CIS one without cutting & welding in some length.

It was makin' me crazy thinking I had installed the DME engine linkage wrong.....which, by the way, is damned near impossible to do !!!!

MISTRY (misery) SOLVED

SPECIAL THANKS to Billy @ Parts Heaven for pulling one out of an 85 Carrera while I waited....
