ready to mount engine on P210
Hi All:
I'm heading to the hardware store to get some washers etc. for attaching the P201 to the engine and then to hoist it up to the new 2000 lb. Harbor Freight stand. (I bought it yesterday new - "discontinued" for $87 - as much as I disdain some of that stuff- I can't argue about 87 bucks) Question: Properly mounted, do I have anything to fear regarding the case threads or other damage - exhaust and muffler is off. I should add it's a 2.0 911T - MAG CASE. P201 fits-up nicely. Thanks, Bill |

I can't address the mag case question, but I wouldn't use the run of the mill "butter bolt" hardware you find at your local hardware store. I would only use grade 5 or better for the mounting hardware. The other might be OK, but since the hardware is in pull out and not in shear I would go for the good stuff.

Thanks Mitch. Yes, just went to get some spacers - will use the original engine mount bolts/nuts.

P201 fit
P201 fit-up nicely. Used Harbor Freight 2000 lb. engine stand - matched the 60mm o.d. of the P201. Used engine mount bolt and nut. Carefully chose the spacers to ensure I got full use of the threads. Appears very sturdy.
