MSD Ignition - Who is the idiot?
 

My ignition was acting funny so I sent the box back to MSD to have it checked out. A very nice local porsche owner allowed me to use his extra unit while it was gone. His unit ran perfect in my car. Same model. MSD checked mine out and said it was fine. Just reinstalled and it doesn't work. I am stupid or that lazy bull**** artist. Since this is a straight forward installation, I am leaning towards them being full of crap. Needless to say, I am pissed I replaced the unit and have to put the other one back in.

The car will not fire with the new box in. It did for a very very short bit but was sputtering big time and then quit. Can't get it to re-fire. Other than switching boxes...no changes. Any ideas... so frustrating!!!

Demand they replace it. Did you tell them you swapped another one in and it worked fine? Just tell them again yours won't fire. I'm sure they'll replace (or fix..do they actually repair these??)

just swapped the other back in. Car runs great. Yes, I will be having a heart to heart telephone call with them on Tuesday.
