OMG....Is this the only way they can level the playing field to make the 911 as attractive as the Panamera?

Jeez. You guys are a tough crowd. I'm not a fan of the graphics myself, but stuff like that can be deleted. The car itself is beautiful!

Those photos seem a little higher contrast than the ones from the Porsche site. i.e. the red look much brighter than they (probably) really are. Probably part of the reason why such strong reactions against the graphics.

Wow, 9 posts without someone (whose net worth is probably about as much as that car) mentioning how their early car is so much better and has so much more soul than this one and that they don't much care for it.
I'M IMPRESSED!

Lose the graphics and the red accents, and paint it in a color that accentuates its curves and it might not be half bad...

I agree with most.....the graphics are horrible and detract from the overall look of the car.
Fantastic cars just don't need all that bling & crazy graphics. I remember when I first saw this car, and how great it looked in just plain white! ![]()

That's MUCH better...(edit) Still wouldn't want one tho...too many hassles to take care of one. Actually wondering why the hell I bought a Bullitt Mustang...just something else to take care of at a time of life when I should be trying to simplify things.

Other than the displacement increase, does anyone have any spec's on the engine? Is it still based on the 993/Turbo case, or is it a modified street 997 unit??

I drove an '08 with PCCB. The brakes impressed me more than the acceleration. Took me 5 minutes to pop my eyeballs back in the sockets.

Positive it's still based on the turbo/993 case. That was the main thing that really differentiated the GT3 from the rest of the Porsche line (Carrera, Boxter, Caymen....). Porsche would never alter that part of the equation.
