901/911 Trans Question

Guys

Thinking about swapping my 5th gear for something slightly taller.

Where on the gear stack is 5th located? Easy to get to or is it a case of pulling apart the whole gear stack to get to it?

Cheers

It's all got to come apart. Not that hard just not a very "quick" job.

You can't just spin off the big nuts and swap the gears...

One of the nuts need to be replaced with a new one then torqued back on with the gears, shafts and bearings clean and dry.

Not a super big job but the gearbox/engine needs to come out.
If you had minimal problems you should be able to do it in a weekend.
