Help, how to remove vent slider assy?

I'm stumped! I have a binding cable in the vent/heater control slider assy that I need to address, and also burned out lite bulbs on it. I have looked thru Bentley as well as the factory manual, and can't figure out how to remove the assy from the dash. Removed the ashtray, and in looking up under the dash, cannot find out how it is secured to the dash. I know it comes out, as I've seen complete assys for sale. Anyone have a solution?

Hope these help. I've got them saved for a future bulb relpacement project. See bolt hole at the back on the unit in the first pic.

Thanks loads Mark, it's elementary when you see the pic! Missed you at the Avenues cruise-in last Sunday. Was hoping to talk to you about the air conditioning project you guys did a while back. Need some advice on hose fabrication etc. Hopefully I'll catch you next time. I'm the guy with the Anthricite grey '80SC 3.6 widebody

Thanks to you two. I've been trying to figure out how to get this thing out so I too can light it up for night use.
