Tricks for installing rubber on S rocker deco?
O.K. give me your tricks for installing the rubber strip on the S rocker deco. I know I'll need lube and assume it slides in but it is a bear to do. Any tricks?

Silicon Spray - You'll be amazed at how easily it slips on. I was - it was so easy, I was even concerned that the strip would just fly off on its own when I drove down the road. This was after trying all sorts of grease and lubes and every swear word I could think of.

I've always put the bottom in to rest on the lip, and then used a putty knife to pop the top in. Quick and no mess. Don't forget to screw it on to the car before putting on the rubber ;-) You might try my method off the car laying on a bench to see what I'm talking about. A body guy told me to try it that way.

I installed the drivers side....no problem, but the passenger side was a beeeyatch. What Rex said...silicone spray is your friend.

I've tried the spray and it does help but boy does it take alot to get it in there. I didn't try to pop it in becuase I didn't think it would flex that much but maybe I'll give it a try. Thanks!

I use a wire pull lube, it works great and easy to clean up. Home Depot should have it.
