AC belt removal
Is there an issue w/ just removing the AC belt off of the compressor. I never use it & wonder if it would have a positive effect on gas mileage or performance.

no problem removing the belt. Not sure it will improve performance or milage as it was just rotating the pulley and not engaging the compressor.

I'd leave it on, if it works, you should run it once a month to keep the seals lubricated. If you ever sell, it will add to resale value. Just spinning the magnetic clutch probably doesn't take even 1/100th of 1 HP.
