What's this tube?
This is located in the passenger side under the hood up under the windsheild. I have no idea what it is and I'm not sure why the cap is oily and cracked (broken part next to the tube), Anyone school me on this? Thanks.

That is an A/C air suppy to the side vent and the waxy cap under it closes it off depending on where the A/C comes from.
The A/C air can also come thru the top of the air mixer valves. Lorne m.

Thanks Lorne.
I assume I should just close it up again with a new cap/plug?

I asked this same question (without a pic) over a year ago. My cap had disintegrated as well. Never got an answer, and I haven't dug that far back under my dash since, so apparently leaving it open to air is fine.
Couple of SC questions, across the board

If your car has other opening in the trunk area this tube will help pressurize the cab area and at high speeds blow the sunroof off
