Can 912 fenders be used on '69 911T with out modification?
 

I have a '69 T with rust around the headlight buckets. I have been told the 912 is a 911 with the four, but I want to make sure they are exactly the same car.

What year 912 fenders will fit my '69T with out modification?
How about doors?
If they need modification what kind?

Russ, two things to consider.

A) the 912 has different indicater lights in the front. They do not extend as far back toward the wheel well as on 69 and later 911's.

B) 912 fenders do not have as much flare on the wheel well as 69 and later 911's.

Conclusion: you might be able to do it if you are willing to go with the 912 indicater light setup, and possibly narrower wheels on the front.

Disclaimer: These are observations I made while comparing my brother's 68 912 to my now deceased 1970 911 (RIP). You will want to double check for yourself, but these are two things to examine in your analysis of the modification.

The fenders are the exact same on a 1969 911 and 1969 912. Earlier 912 fenders are different than the '69 to '73 design.

Yep-Charlie's right-912 fenders are exactly the same as 911 fenders of the same year. What you have to watch out for is that the early cars ('65-'67 911 and 912's) have VERY little flare at the wheelwell, and the horn grill/turn signal mounting are slightly different than '68-'73 cars-but the fenders themselves bolt right up to any year (before '74).

My '66 912 is in the process of being restored/updated, so I've done my homework in this area.
