question: door lock problem

when I lock my doors, either with key after market alarm or the center control button, the driver door is locking fine but the passenger door is not locking. The knob goes down but only half way and stuck there. I still can be able to open the door. Anyone has this problem? Anyone know where problem located?
Thanks in advance.

My Targa does the same thing. If I open the door and close again it will be locked the second time. Generally I don't worry about locking it at all because I usually have the top off but it would be nice to know if there is a fix. I will be watching this one.

Try this

Mine was similar but it was completely broke (the plastic piece that is). Look at the thread below from just a few days ago. I am now fixed and on my way. On the bottom of this attached link there is another link with the part numbers and possible issues that you are having. Very helpful.

Help. Door locking issue 87-930, passenger side
