Which relay controls the fog lights?
Does anyone have a picture, or wiring diagram?
I know the obvious, I can find one on the site, I looked and can't find it. I can trace the wiring, I did and can't figure this out thats why I'm posting. I can buy a Bentley's manual, yes I can but I don't have a spare $100 to spend. I appreciate all of the comments I received in the last post but save your keystrokes. If you have a pic or wiring diagram for the fog lights, fuse location or relay, please share. Thank you. |
Not sure there is one. I think it is just the switch, but I'm happy to be proven wrong.

The schematic in my 68 workshop manual shows the fog lights using only the dash switch. A relay would be a good idea though.

the second one from the front. Just replaced mine.

When asking questions, the year/type really helps.
If you don't buy the Bentley, there is always the electrical schematic in the Tech Section on PP. :) |
No help
My signature says it all but just in case you are not looking, it a 1979 Porsche 911 SC.
The 2nd relay from the front is clicking when I remove it with the lights and fog light switch turned on but the fogs don't turn on. I traced the fogs back into the car through the facia and found a clear/cloudy plastic connector. No power to it, disconnected it and ran a hot and ground to the wires the fogs turn on no problem. No fuses are burn out and the 2nd relay from the front is clicking. Any ideas what I should check next? |
Try using a known good relay in that position. Just because it is clicking doesn't mean that it is working properly.

And for the record, my fog relay is the second from the front, as well, though I own a Carrera not an SC. HTH

Sounds good, keep trying. :)
