Hood seal sticking out?
Hi guys,
I am looking at purchasing a car and have been provided a picture from the owner which shows the hood seal sticking out. I have never seen this before and don't know if it is a simple installment issue or something to be gravely concerned about.  Would love to hear your opinions. Cheers Luis |

With just one picture it's a bit hard to draw any serious conclusions, but is it something to be "gravely concerned" about?--maybe. (How's that for a hedge!) The hood may be a bit out of adjustment--looks to be an uneven gap between hood and bumper. The hold-downs may not be securing the hood as well as the factory hardware. The seal may not be installed correctly in the fender recess. These are just a few of the simpler causes which are not grave.
However, the bumper is misaligned also--bad install or damage? How are the hood gaps all around? Etc, etc. In short, IMO, it's something to check out further and should not be a deal killer in and of itself. More pictures will help us offer some better points of view.
