73 e flashing oil pressure light

Im doing due diligence on a 73 e and the car looks like a dry survivor. When started the oil pressure light flashed. I have a 70 t and the light just glows steady and all is well. Is the flashing light indicating an issue? Second question when starting a popping noise came from the engine is this just a part of mfi? I only know solex to this point. Thanks!

Which light is flashing? If it’s the one on top I had the same question a while ago and it’s the parking brake light, when the brakes on the light flashes

Does that flashing stop when you release the parking brake, if so its normal. If it does not stop its the contacts on the parking brake lever under the boot.
I had the steady glow on my 72 until I rebuilt the alt.
Popping noise, that could be all sorts of things if you are not familiar with MFI. There are plenty of posts on MFI CMA. But if it starts and runs okay and this car is new to you, start with the easy things first, then move to mfi.
