TRE flywheel for mating 3.2L to early SWB 915
I'm likely buying a 3.2L that comes with a brand new TRE flywheel, cup style clutch pressure plate and throwout bearing that is made specifically to match when putting a 3.2L in an early SWB car with 915 transmission.
Of course I'm putting the 3.2L in my 87 with G50 transmission, so this nice shiny brand new piece of art is going to be of no use for me. I've searched TRE's website, and spent an hour searching here, and can't find even an estimate of value to this. New clutch plus new flywheels stock run near $1000. this being special I assume is more. The sell price figures in to whether I can afford to buy the 3.2L or not. Anyone with an opinion? how about a Wild a$$ guess? Thanks, Richard ![]()

bump. any opinions?
I figure it falls into one of three categories: 1)People will be climbing over each other to take this off my hands 2)It's valuable, and needed for a early 3.2L conversion, but you have to wait for the right buyer. 3) Who the hell thought that was a good idea when you can just use stock parts to get the same thing done? Thanks, Richard |

I called TRE, it's not a 915 transmission, it's a 901 that this is meant for. And the Flywheel has the ring for a motronics injection system, up to 1986.
Part number implies that this is a Kennedy Engineering setup, though they do not make the flywheel part number is: KEP 3.2 / 901 it was bought last year for $782 Richard |
