Stuck in 4th even with 901 Tranny out of car
901 tranny stuck in 4th while at DE, after acting up for a lap. Removed external shift linkage and still stuck, even when cold. Removed tranny from car (still stuck). Popped off shifter cover and freed up 4th with a screwdriver. Replaced cover and now it works fine on the bench. Before I do an disassembly, which I have done before, what should I look for? Bent fork? Shift shaft/fork alignment? Defective synchro?
