Air box replaced won't start

I have a 1973 911T and had an air box back fire and replaced it. The car has plenty fuel presure added blow by kit. The car will crank have spark can add starting fluid ti box car will run for moment but will not continue to run. I believe the fuel injection line may have air in them but not sure. When I replaced the air box I made sure not to desturb all the sensors or linkages. The car ran fine proir but it looked like the airbox had a split at seam backfired after sitting while cranking popped and had a small fire coming out box where it let go.
Sure could use help with some ideas on what else it could be
Thanks!

It sounds like it's safe to say you have a fuel starvation issue. The first things I'd check are the fuel pump fuse, relay and fuel pump itself...in that order.

cantoo,

Jumper the fuel pump relay terminals, lift the air flow sensor and injectors will be bled. Be careful not to flood the engine.

+1

Hold the sensor plate up for no more than five or so seconds--you should hear a squeal coming from the injectors indicating fuel is being sprayed. Let us know what happens.
