Question for anyone who has swapped torsion bar on 74 or later?

Can you pull the torsion bar out thru the rear on a 74 or later where the front sway bar is bolted underneath, not run thru the body as on the early cars? Looks like you might be able to simply unbolt the sway bar and pull it down an inch or two to allow the torsion bar to pass over it on its way to the rear. Any insight appreciated.

Yes, as you suggested, just unbolt the pivot points and pry the bar out of the way. The ends are mounted in rubber at the front a-arms so there's movement there. In the old days when I had stock sway bars I just pryed the bar down and stuck a piece of wood in to hold it out of the way.
