SC on a 4 point lift
Need to address flapper boxes and my my buddy (who has the lift) asked if there are any specific precautions to take while suspending the car in the air? He has heard nightmare stories of the new Lotus cars flipping off backwards. Thanks.

Make sure you do not crush the oil lines that run to the front of the car on the passenger side. There are specific points you need to use when using a lift so you do not damage the floor pans of the car.
Check out this thread for a picture of where to lift from http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/253672-lifting-points-post2263696.html?highlight=jack+points#post2263696 Last edited by Driver8; 10-01-2009 at 08:52 AM.. |

Scissor Lift
I have kept a 911, both with and w/o an engine, on my scissor lift for extended periods of time without experiencing any issues. My lift came with extensions that sit on the arms. I placed these under the rear extension of the torsion bar tubes. In the front I placed the supports under the corner of the floor pan.
