Do H5 trim rings fit H4 lights?

That's the whole question and post. Couldn't figure out how to search this one with the three character limit on searches.
Thanks.
PS--if not, why not?

Tried it they don't work. I think the mounting hole is different. I have a set of H-4's to replace my H-5's Just waiting for the screw/retainer that keeps the ring on. Try to post pictures of the difference later

absolutely not they are two different assemblies , they will not fit , you need to use h-4 with h-4 . h-5 with h-5 and in-case your wondering h-1 with h-1 and also just for information sake a 928 headlight bucket willl not fit a 911 .

seriously they wont fit , just buy the paintable rim that goes over the chrome rim with a double type screw , or scuff the trim ring and paint or finish as required ...

The paintable rim is the "trim ring" and covers the adjustment screws. The other thing is the headlight assembly itself.
