Dyno graph for a 2.2S
 

This dyno was done by the PO last year. Now I have to rebuild the carbs due to a leak. I'm wondering if there is more to be had from this motor and carb combo. If anyone has any insights or opinions I love to hear them.

Um, shouldn't it rev to 7300 rpm? Put in an 'S' rotor so you get the right rev limit.

What emulsion tubes are you running? Looks like you could find some that helps the over rich area @ 4500. And unclebilly has a good point about the top end falling off so fast. The AFR looks good at the top end so maybe the rotor is killing off the spark to soon, 6800 rpm.

The overall numbers look good. 156 at the wheels converts to roughly 183 at the crank. A 2.2S was factory rated at 180 hp. Peak torque and HP should fall around 5500 and 6800 respectively.

I think the top end is falling off since you are transitioning to lean above 6K. It seems that you need to make some adjustments to the carb jetting.

Why is the AFR so different between the two runs? Not that you can change this now. Just an observation in scaling.

I'd sure want to know what venturies and jets are in your carburetors before offering anything constructive. :)

Hey gents,

I have no idea how the carbs are set up. My intention is to take the car in and have them gone over and tuned by a professional. I just don't know enough or have enough time to go deep for the learning curve on this one. What I want to do however is to find out from experienced owners what seems to work so at least I have some strong reference points both in terms of what the result of the dyno should look like and also what the likely values will be for venturis, jets, emulsion tubes, etc. I don't suppose I can figure out how my carbs are set up with out breaking them down first? Any thoughts?
