Brake pad wear sensor installation
Quick question here. When installing new wear sensors for the front brakes, the horseshoe type sensors, are they glued in or anything? When I removed the old ones, they were quite well stuck in the pad. Perhaps that was just heat, or was it glue?
thanks

Some are glued, some are snapped in place. Mine are zip-tied to the struts & banana arms because they are a hassle to deal with ... easy enough to inspect the brakes without even taking a wheel off.

yeah, I wondered about that too. You can just look at the damn thing or if you hear intermittent scraping, well that pretty much tells you. I have two new ones so I figured on intalling them.

There should be a small clip that goes on the sensor. Then the clip is pushed into the slot and it clicks into place to hold it.
