Restoration of 1972 911 finally done!

After two years of rust removal, welding, cleaning, busted knuckels, the restoration of my 1972 911T is finally done. Thanks for everyones help on this forum and of course the host.

Check out the video I made of the final product!

Oh man... nice job.

I sold my 993 just because I love my long hood's so much more. Great choice on the color or was that the stock color?

Very nice. Did you replicate the factory wiring, patch it up, or re-wire in a more modern fashion? I'm doing the latter right now...

Nice vid! I started something similar with my '70 T - YouTube - Porsche Movie Test Beginning

Sadly I sold it before I could "finish" it.

Nicely done Jason! I recognized some of the roads here in south OC. I'll keep an eye out for that beautiful 72 (that's my dream year). Don't forget to wave if an old geezer in a light ivory 73.5T honks at you--I won't even care if you wave the middle finger!

BTW, I noticed your pressure gauge in the video pegged at 140. Bad sender?

Beautiful car! Man I wish that I didn't live in the snowbelt... I put my 72 away for the winter this weekend!

Congratulations! That car is beautiful. Is it #936 VW Silver Metallic?

Please allow me to introduce your car's East Coast sibling. I just finished this restoration a few weeks ago myself.

Thanks for all the kind words. I am glad everyone is enjoying the video. As far as some answers to some of the questions.

-The color is Porsche's modern Arctic Silver, I forgot the code, but you can look it up. I wanted to see a car painted in that color not just a chip, so I went to the dealer to see the new ones.

-The wiring harness is the original one.

-Yes the oil pressure gauge is on my list. Man it seems like it is never ending.

-Robert, thanks again for lending me the trailer, come by and see the car next time your around. PM me.

Nice - that's a keeper. Do me a favour though and

1) straighten the license plate
2) maybe straighten the hood badge
3) lower it an inch or two.

Nice though. The air cooled yearning has been very strong lately.
