Correct wiring diagram for 1970 911

I have Workshop Manuals I and II but can't figure out which wiring diagrams applies to my MY 70 T built 10/69.

L57 looks like early cars

SL33 says 911 E, 911S

SL35 says 911T,911E,911S

The next one, SL37 is for 1971

Which diagrams is correct for 1970 T?

Thanks in advance,

Rob

workshop manual

Do you have the factory manuals or ? I believe the factory manual identifies the model year and type.

Rob,
While the basic wiring diagrams are similar, and w/o an obvious vehicle ID, find the wiring diagram that matches the number of fuse positions in your car.

Rusty,

Yes, they are the factory manuals, but no, the pages do not identify the years, other than the page for 1971.

If you only need the electrical console, the right one is the link I gave you to Sherwood's site. Remember how I said that the factory eliminated the "intermediate unit" in October, 1970 for the 1971 model year? That's why the '71 diagram on Pelican's main page is wrong. But the one on Sherwood's is right-- AND it doesn't have the funny 69-only circular connectors. It actually might be a 69 due to the round fuses.

My 70 has a black and purple wire connected to the distributor but no such color wire appears in the L35 diagram but does show on the 71 diagram showing it going to the "speed switch" #11 on the 71 diagram. I'm confused.

I'm just trying to wire a distributor after removing Pertronix and replacing points. Should the wire from the points connect with the purple and black wire?

I have just aquired a 70T coupe and I am not sure if the wiring diagram L35 applies. I am looking for the L37 to debug my system. Most devices work but an alarm was installed and I see evidence of adjustments to the original wiring. I am trying to get back to square one and any help you can provide would be appriciated.

I had colour diagrams (full blueprint style) sent to me by Ed Mayo in Texas (PCA Technical Committee). Very reasonable price as well.

You can probably get him at cdih@charter.net

Maybe he can help get the right ones??
