Buzzing noise from instrument panel

My 87 Carrera has a buzzing noise when the ignition is in "on" position with engine turned of. Is seems to go away when doors are closed or after a little while - but not always.

The "buzzer" seems to be in the upper right trunk compartement.

It sound like it has the flu!

i had that in my 78sc but it stayed on all the time. brutal. It was the seat belt buzzer.

i reached under the dash and felt around next to the ignition.

The is a buzzer back there with two wires. remove one wire problem solved.

not the best solution but the best for now for me.

keep us posted if you figure it out.

Seat belt buzzer - crazy thing! US models really has stuff european models dont have! Will check it out.

Another US thing: Cruise control. What is up with that in a 911, Aside from that it adds on one mile every 10 seconds. Go tell that to the judge! It was not me, it was mt car :)
