Turn Signal/Emergency Flasher Problem
So here's the problem -
My turn signals are gradually failing. Right now they work about 40 percent of the time. It's either all or nothing: they both work fine or they don't work at all. Also, my emergency flasher has stopped working. I suspect: 1) fuses...I'm changing them all 2) bad turn signal relay. Does it control both the directionals and emergency flasher? 3) turn signal switch. Any other possibilities? All my other lights and electricals work fine (knock on wood). Thanks in advance. |
When that happens on my 73, it means the wiring plug on the underside of the dash is coming loose. Push it back in and I'm in business. I doubt it's fuse or ground problem. If it was a fuse, they would guit for good. A ground problem means one side goes or they flash more quickly.

Helios,
I had to replace the turnsignal assembly for a similiar problem. Do the first two items on your list before spending more. good luck, Jim |
Switch or relay likely. Turn them on and see if you have power at the relay coil. I f no power then problem is at the switch, if power then relay kaputt.
At least you have emergency flashers, my ROW 68S did not come with them. |
