can't wait to pick up my 2nd 911
hello all glad to be almost back in the drivers seat again...I sold my 1980 sc a year ago and now I happened to find a great 1974 911 in pretty good condition...no rust...just needs to be sanded down and repainted right...the guy owned the car for 15 years and it has some service history....rebuilt tranny and updates...says it has a 2.4L that ran very solid no smoking smooth idle..I was impressed with the power and how smooth the car ran and left a deposit....I am going to pick the car up on Sat... I do have a few questions im not as familar with the 74 as I am with the sc 1) the car has 16" fuch wheels need to know which size tires to use would like to use factory spec...but I think this car came with a 15"from factory....it has 225 on the back now and deff way to big.. 2) 2.4L has a small drip here or there...what else should I know about this engine....I will post Serial # when Pick up the car..looks like the 2.7 but it could be the 2.4 with cis. 3) car needs a windshield and I remember having trouble finding one for my sc in Richmond and suggestions?? cheers | ||

Post pics when you get it in your hands! Unless it has flares, the tires should be the same size front and rear. 205/55-16 tires should work all the way around. Nineteen seventy four should have a 2.7 liter engine.
