help needed identifying transmission

I was wanting to know if someone could help me identify a porsche 901 transmission. The numbers are 911/01 and 7119102. I need to know if it is alum. or mag? 4 speed or 5? what year the transaxle is? and what model car did it come out of? Thanks so much for your help. :)

bajabugman,

7119102
7 = Transmission designation, Transmission for 6-cylinder engine.
1 = Transmission type 911/01, 5-speed, standard ratio.
1 = Model year 1971.
9102 = sequential number.

Type 911/01:
1st gear = 11:34
2nd gear = 18:32
3rd gear = 23:28
4th gear = 27:25
5th gear = 29:22
R&P = 7:31

This is a Type 911 transmission although many 901 parts are common.
Simplified differential
Magnesium castings
225 mm pull-type clutch
108 mm CV joint flanges

Does this have the numbers on a rectangular boss cast under the differential or on the longitudinal rib?

Best,
Grady
