Coverking Stormproof Car Cover Info
Hi All,
I'm considering buying the stormproof car cover from our host. My Car will unfortunately have to be left outside for many days of the week. I'm very concerned about the cover scratching my new paint in the wind. Can anybody give me some opinions on this? Also, my car is a 2.8 RSR look, so has the ducktail and widebody. When choosing the make and model for the cover, the closest option is a 73 911 with ducktail. Do people find the sides are pretty short or will this cover be ok? Thanks, Adam

I've got one on a car I store outside. No issues. Nice cover.

I love my coverking stormproof.
My cabriolet also sits outside, but the cover stays on nice. Be sure to get the model with the mirror pockets. The cover comes low onto the car and also protects the tires from the sun. My previous (cheapy) cover used to fly off all the time and was not effective at all.

I've bought three covers over the years.
After getting sick of paying the high prices for the first two, I bought the cheapest weatherproof cover off ebay I could find......like $26 + shipping. It turned out to be an excellent weatherproof cover that fits great....go figure.

My SC has been outside for the last five years, under a car cover. Just replaced the original one with a new one from Pelican, I have no idea what the name of it is, it was about $200-$250. Works just fine, so did the previous one. No, it doesn't scratch the paint, but I do keep the car relatively clean under it.

Thanks for your replies...
Has anybody heard of thoroughbred covers in the UK? Apparently they're supposed to be pretty good, although a little more expensive then the stormproof. Anybody have any experience?
