Get The Fog Outta Here!
On my 1977 930 I had a servo driven heat regulator on the console. I notice that there was also a pressure measuring devise or possibly temperature measuring above the rear view mirror toward the headliner forward of the moon-roof opening.
Do all 911's have this set up? Old school, but super effective. When I was caught in the rain on rare occasions,, I NEVER had issues with fogging. I used to love set that thing at 1 or 2 and setting all climate controls smack in the middle and listening to the servo whine up and down to find that perfect temperature! Anyone else have that strange love in this little detail of the heating/ventilation system? Controlling it was a challenge at first, but soon I got it down between this and the fans on the dash. Cable controlled Throttle lock left of E-brake - uber cool!

the little roof nipple is indeed a temperature sensor.
the early US 930's were equiped with what the factory called 'climate control' I ride with my servo disconnected so I can still pull the heat/cold levers up and not have all the fans kick in. Bill K

Yeah, I didn't know what he was talking about either. Unless he was talking about the dash fans.
