Gas line leak, near front left tire.

Today I noticed, while my car was running, a small wet spot began to form in front of the left front tire. It was gas. Looking directly up from the spot I saw a small (10-13mm diameter) braided hose that was wet. It wasn't the larger those that ran parallel to it. Does anyone know what hose this is?

There is an evap cannister that sits above the windshield washer reservoir.

..and what? What is the hose called or part number? Or are you telling me that the evap cannister is what needs to be replaced?

It could be either the cannister is full or the hose is just leaking or both. The hose is just common fuel hose. I think the routing is from just below the filler neck in the trunk, into a metal fuel line going out into the wheelhouse, then into the rubber hose and into the cannister.

My guess is that the rubber fuel lines going to/from the evap. canister are old and cracked. This happened to my car too. The evap. canister is basically an overflow tank that sees gas when you over fill your tank. The hoses are easy to replace with standard fuel line - press on fit with hose clamps I think. The line is not under any pressure so you don't need high pressure hose and fittings etc...

Thanks. Anyone know the size of this hose? (Length, inside diameter and outside diameter if that matters.)

Most likely your fuel fume collection system tank is cracked.

Looking at the PET, they call for 9x12 and 15x21 hose. Just buy some lengths of each and cut to size.
