Relay Socket Installation - 911 SC Upgrade

Is there a special technique to installing a relay socket in the fuse box? I am in the process of upgrading the oil cooling system on a '83 911 SC and need to wire a relay to operate the aux fan.

Rubber body needs to be warmed up....I used a hair dryer...some people soak in hot water.....but then wait for all to dry before it's used electrically ! Don't over-do the hair dryer or get too close...the rubber will start to deform and lose shape.

I used a heat gun like you use for stripping paint or shrinking heat shrink tubing. It is still a b*tch.

+1 on being careful not to get it too hot and melting the rubber.
